Accessibility Commitment

1. Our commitment

Fennico is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of technology or ability. We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across all pages of this site, including this page, the legal pages and the main site at fennico.sbs.

This is an active commitment, not a box to check. If you find something on the site that creates a barrier, we want to know.

2. Conformance target

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility. This covers perceivability, operability, understandability and robustness. All new content added to the site is reviewed against these criteria before publication.

3. Measures taken

The following practices are applied across this site:

• Semantic HTML: headings, landmarks, lists and form elements are marked up using appropriate HTML tags so that assistive technologies can interpret page structure correctly.
• Keyboard navigation: all interactive elements — links, buttons, form fields, FAQ toggles and the cookie preference dialog — can be reached and operated using a keyboard alone, without a mouse.
• Colour contrast: all text colours are chosen to meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their backgrounds. We use dark ink tones on light paper surfaces throughout.
• Reduced-motion support: the site respects the prefers-reduced-motion media query. Hover transitions are suppressed for users who have requested reduced motion at the operating-system level.
• Descriptive alt text: all informative images carry descriptive alt attributes written to convey the content of the image, not generic labels.
• Labelled form fields: every input and textarea in the contact form is associated with a visible label via the for/id attribute pair.
• Focus management: focus states are visible on all interactive elements; they are not removed by CSS.
• No auto-playing content: this site contains no auto-playing audio, video or looping animations.

4. Known limitations

We are aware of the following areas where full conformance has not yet been achieved:

• The Google Maps iframe embedded on the main page is provided by a third party and may not be fully accessible to all screen reader users. We provide the full address in text form alongside the map as an alternative.
• Third-party cookie and analytics scripts, if accepted, are provided by external vendors whose own interfaces may not meet WCAG 2.1 AA.

We continue to review these areas and will update this statement as improvements are made.

5. Reporting an issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, or if content is not accessible in the way you need it, please contact us. We will review the issue and respond within five business days.
